Welcome to Nick’s

Nick’s Beer Garden opened in 1977 on the corner of Halsted and Armitage before moving to Wicker Park in 1994.

For nearly fifty years, Nick’s has been part of Chicago’s music and nightlife scene, welcoming locals, visitors, musicians, artists, and neighborhood regulars alike. Over the years, the stage has hosted countless performers, including an early appearance by Nirvana in the 1990s, and continues to feature live music and DJs throughout the year.

Today, Nick’s is known for its spacious beer garden, selection of local craft beers, imports, cocktails, and late night atmosphere. Its history can be found throughout the bar, from the stories shared by longtime regulars to “Peaches,” a portrait dating back to 1911 whose history has become part of Nick’s story.

Nearly five decades later, Nick’s remains what it has always been: a place to gather, share a drink, hear great music, and spend time with amazing people.
